Colour Magick

Colour magick is the using of the colour spectrum and the intention of each colour to invoke its magical response.

When I was younger, I used to stay at my grandma's house during the school holidays and I remember she would light a different coloured candle, every morning. She told me that each day corresponded with a colour and if you really needed the universe to bring a specific energy into the home, you would light the candle that matched it. Not only did she use candles, she also used the clothes she wore to match the day and she had different coloured rings which she would wear as an extra boost, for the corresponding energy she needed that day. This was the first time I was introduced to colour magick and I've been in love with it ever since.

To this day I've been using colour magick to boost my intentions when I pray, meditate and sometimes even when I have an important task to complete. It's always helped me and I honestly wish more people knew about it and how powerful it can be. Even by wearing a simple ring, it can attract what you need from the universe.

For example, the colour red is associated with love, lust, passion and romance so wearing this colour will attract these energies to you. Why do you think women in movies typically wear the colour red, on dates? Why is this colour heavily used during the Valentine's Day period? It's because the intention of romance is wanting to be boosted.

I usually keep my colour magick to using candles during meditation or prayer. Depending on the topic I'm focussing on or need answers for, I will light the corresponding candle to help me boost that intention. If I don't have that colour then I will use my white candle which can be substituted in for any colour. Candles are very affordable and easily accessible, which makes them very easy to work with.

If you are a beginner practitioner, I suggest little things like this can easily help you focus your thoughts and intentions, especially while praying, meditating or manifesting. these are all great places to start.
